hey,

I am in the process of applying to different academies, and was wondering how good or bad one's eyes must be in order to medically qualify to fly a helicopter or plane.

I don't know the exact answer to this (because I'm no airdale), but your eyes have to be VERY good. I've had more than on friend disqualified from the flight program because of their eyes.

A group of us got an orientation flight on a C-130 out of CGAS Sacramento and we were told that the eyesight standard is no worse than 20/200 and correctable with glasses to 20/20. Does that sound about right LITS?
