How much longer should I expect to wait? I heard around two weeks is when I should find out.

Depends on the MOC. You may not hear until some time in January when slates become due. Also, depending on the MOC, all their interviews may not be done yet.

It could be any day or until the deadline. I sat on a local MOC’s board 1.5 weeks ago. We interviewed 20+ candidates. We have 5 more to go. Some couldn’t make it for a variety of reasons. We will complete all 5 next week with 2 of them being on Skype. Bottom line... it’s wait and see. Welcome to the world of hurry up and wait!

The board that I'm on did ours three weeks ago. This morning, I got an email from the MOC's Chief of Staff asking me to do straggler interviews on Dec 23rd.

My DS had his MOC interview on 9 November and as far as we know, there has been no announcement. We are patiently waiting but every day it gets harder.

Check your portal if you aren’t...DS’s popped in there one day. It’s been a couple weeks and still no press release from MOC, or notice at all from MOC. I don’t remember how to tell which one (senator) it’s from, either. Point is, not all MOC’s give any notice at all.

Depending on your MOC, you may find out first (or only) through your portal. My DS received noms last year from one Senator and our Congressman. He didn’t see it on his portal until Jan 21 and Dec 26 respectively. You may get a better idea of timing by looking at your State’s nomination timing from past years on this forum.
Many MOCs have no press releases

My DS interviewed with Buck's panel the same day. My niece interviewed with Buck's panel two years ago, and got her nom just before Christmas. I think the reason for the wait is that the Congressmen coordinate with the Senators. Two years ago when she got her nom from Buck, she later received a letter from Cory Gardner that she wasn't getting his nom as she was already nominated by Buck. I believe that Cory Gardner has completed his interviews, but Michael Bennet is not going to be done until after tomorrow. (My DS is interviewing with him today). So now we need enough time for them to coordinate and then notifications should be coming. This is all speculation, of course.

Thank you! It’s reassuring to hear that we aren’t the only ones waiting in the 4th District. According to some of the other threads, CO 6th and 7th districts have already announced. Good luck to your DS in his interview today. My DS completed both Gardner and Bennet interviews, so we are now in the waiting game.

It's possible that Buck only coordinates with Gardner. Gardner, after all, held the district 4 seat before Buck. However, my niece, having been through this before, has been a great source of information. In her year (2017), Buck notified first, then Gardner, then Bennet. She was NOT notified by an update in her portal(s). Rather, Buck and Gardner sent a "snail mail" letter, and Bennet's notification came via an email. Good luck to your DS as well!

What type of questions do you normally ask in interviews? On top of that, what answers do you think are best?

Of course, a lot of them vary such as why do you want to serve. However, I'm more than certain there are some answers from some that are much better than others. What are some DOs and DONTs when answering certain questions during the interview?

The question isn't always about getting a correct answer. The question is often to see if you can articulate your thoughts adequately, if you can think quickly on your feet, and have you researched enough to know what you're getting into. Often there is no correct answer.

Sorry but when I'm giving a test, I don't post the questions ahead of time.
