Best COVID-19 MEME

I was "in" during the Tailhook fallout , but coming from P-3's we weren't invited. My recollection is that the '91 event was an recipe for disaster -- it was held shortly after most of the airwings were just back from Desert Storm, so what was already a rowdy event was made worse as kind of a victory party. The cruel irony though is that the senior officer disciplined was a Submariner . I don't recall who, or what his role was..but I always thought it was kinda ironic.

maybe ironic, but not undeserved. he was in charge when the standard response to complaints from female officers was "well, what did you expect was going to happen. maybe you shouldn't have been there"

i was there in '90 and can attest to what Cap MJ and others posted. i used to have a nice pic of me at the craps table with Senator McCain

thankfully, i was on cruise during 'hook '91 and avoided all the drama. sitting in the ready room on the boat, we read the message traffic about it. the first few messages had us saying "wow, we missed a hell of a a party", but soon it it was "holy #$%Q, thank God we weren't there!"

<end threadjack>

In a roundabout way, Tailhook gave me a career boost. I was in between billets, with my relief already on board, but a few months too early for reporting to next command as XO. I was “stashed” at a Navy Recruiting District doing several high-profile SECNAV IG investigations into fraud, waste, and abuse cases, and two sex-related cases involving CO/XO-level involvement. I worked directly for then-CAPT later-RADM Barbara McGann, who became a significant mentor. She also had me go with the officer recruiters assigned to the NRD as they visited college campuses, nursing, engineering and medical schools, to answer questions about Tailhook and confirm not every day involved being groped in a gauntlet.

Then I guess they should not be open for business right now.
Hmmmm..... Interesting opinion. There was some cynicism with a bit of humor mixed in on that business owner's sign. Just the stuff this thread was intended for. Your post can easily be confused with trying to communicate a political position related to whether that type of business should be open or exist at all. At best you might have missed the humor. At worst, ....well I don't wish to speculate your intent because it leads toward a tinderbox of disagreement that ultimately wouldn't benefit this forum.
So... Can we get back to Best COVID-19 Memes before the train leaves the station on a journey where it's guaranteed to detail?

Nothing to do with the type of business.

The meme itself is a political statement.

Carry on.
