I have lined up a number of projects that seem to have avoided every rainy day list. When we PCSed every two years, we didn’t accumulate. Now, I’m going through every drawer, closet, storage box.

About ten years ago my parents looked around the big old house we'd been raised in and decided 30 years was long enough, so they moved.

Two blocks. (And the new house with just the two of them was nearly as large.)

Once we got started on the cleaning, sorting and excavating it was clear this death cleaning was what my mother was after. There were four wedding dresses in the attic, none hers. The three oldest kids all found our (nearly identical) typewriters that we'd taken to college 30-cough-something years ago. There were beds, clothes, terrible luggage, just an infinite amount of stuff.

Best story: I and my three siblings were digging through the attic. I was in a corner that appeared to be sewing and craft-like stuff and I found a half garbage bag full of... what? Flashback to my grandfather, a large, loud Irish sales guy that traveled the upper midwest selling radio and TV time until his death in 1981. (Google Herb Tarlek for images, that'll help with the rest of the story.) The bag was full of ties. We started laughing. My mother was a bit defensive, asserting "I kept them on purpose. I was going to make a quilt." We dissolved. No one could breathe we were laughing so hard. Continence was challenged. Even she couldn't keep a straight face. But the bag made the move, and I'm pretty sure there's still no quilt. I guess we'll deal with that bag the next time they move.
 
Not a meme but CV-19 prompted me to freshen up my sanitation and safety inspection knowledge.

Oh Capt. that's really my bad! My apologies as I defer to you...I was getting caught up in way too many of my Quarantini vodka's to be paying attention. Now that our bars and such are closed here in Ohio (no point in me coming to Naptown with O'Learys' closed) I'm having a few too many and this is what happens.

Yeah Ohio is in bad shape. My brother told me U Dayton is cutting expenses.

Some of these colleges will be in trouble around the country.
