A few years ago a major university ran bacteria tests on jeans worn daily without washing and jeans worn but washed. The worn daily jeans had about the same colony count as the washed jeans. I read those findings and said, thank God.Quarantine Tip #107:

Ok, real story, many years ago, just before deploying to Desert Shield/Storm, DW packed up and went home to parents for the unknown duration and to finish school. I moved into the barracks for the couple of weeks before we departed for Saudi. My roommate regularly used the "smell test" on his BDUs to see if they were wearable or if it was time for them to be washed .
