Best to wait?

My rep want a resume of eca's, all non school activities, etc. in the initial packet to begin the nom process. I've heard that the sooner you send stuff in the better it looks in terms of commitment. I will be attending Boy's State at the very end of June. Should I wait and see if I get elected to a high position there and then send in the resume or should I simply say that I'll be attending and then send supplementary stuff after? How much could waiting an extra month to open my file with him hurt me?

My DD got her nomination packets in before Oct 1 (in AZ). She was told she was one of 5 who did -- and they remembered her name as a result.

As a side note, my DD sent in an update to her resume when the National Merit Scholarship information came in.

I think you have some time and I would wait until after Boy's State. DD tried to target 1 month before the deadline. Seemed to be successful for her.
