Nurseypoo its McConaughey. Matthew McConaughey - any movie with him in it is worth seeing - talk about eye candy!!

USNA69 - Leave Chip alone! he has a pretty good list - you want a Navy movie? Down Periscope - haha.
An Officer and a Gentleman - only made me wanna quit college and get a factory job near a navy base - haha.
Top gun - Tom Cruise at his arrogant best. (ugh) both are kinda depressing in a way...
How about South Pacific?? Best Navy movie out there!

Other good ones - MASH - Korea, Thirteen Days - Cold War, for Civil War, Cold Mountain is good.
1776 is the best Revolutinary War movie, if you never saw The Patriot - Mel Gibson, don't bother it's hideous.

I LOVED 13 days, but they took the name of John Paul Jones almost in vain

I liked Top Gun not so much for Tom Cruise, but for Rick Rosovich and Val Kilmer (ice, ice, baby!). Do we have a drooling smiley?

I loved The Patriot but I am boycotting this thread so please ignore me.

OMG! OMG! OMG!

[Insert=NavyJoke]This is a thread about the best war movies[ /owned]

*dodges tomatoes

Hello?! How about "Crash Dive" with that 1940's hunk AND USMC pilot, Tyrone Power:shake: ? That was during WWII and it was about the war.

Expand the poll, please, or ask TN to do it! Puh-lease!:worship:

Hmmmmmm maybe we should do polls in several categories:

Comedy
War - Army
War - rest of services
Military - but not war

You all have forgotten the best WWII war movie though - Casablanca.
Chip - does that count as a war movie?
