Thankfully earlier this week I received both my BFE and my appointment to West Point. I was just wondering when I will receive information on what my next steps will be before R-Day. I see on the portal there are several items that have not been made available yet. Does anyone know when these items will be released?

Upload your birth certificate to your CC portal and get your fingerprints taken and submitted per the instructions so that they can initiate your background check for your SECRET clearance.

Congrats to the OP on the appointment! and good luck! As has been said so many times on this forum, don't let the grades slide, and enjoy these last few months of HS. They will go by really fast, and BAM, it's the first week of July and your HS life will seem a distant memory. WP will give you plenty of time to take care of the stuff you need to. Break in your boots and LQ's (make sure you follow the instructions in the boot memo)..........Go get em, and be proud of yourself

I also got my appointment on February 11th, but I haven't received my BFE yet; however, I have received my next instructions. After accepting your appointment (if you do), you will soon get an email from your POC (Point of Contact) regarding instructions for fingerprint submission for the portal. After you complete the fingerprint submission and you upload your birth certificate/ citizenship documentation you can access e-QIP.

Congrats!
Your next couple of months will be spent turning red dots into green dots. You will have plenty of time to get it done. You might look around and find the list of suggested items for R-Day. The popular shoes and boots can come into very short supply a little later in the season.

Congrats. Now you wait. You will receive 2-3 Packets with paperwork for you to complete and a shopping list.
The heaviest lift will be an email from Mrs. D who will ask you to fill in your security clearance paperwork. It is time consuming.
Keep working out. Do not take the risk of activities for granted. Keep up with your classes and enjoy this victory lap of a senior year.

If your parents are on FB have them join the West Point Class of 2024 Parents page. If your mom is curious, have her request to join the West Point Moms page (she needs to answer all the questions)--and also for Mother's Day you can give her the "West Point Moms Survival Guide."

How is the Mom's page these days?
