BFE Received!

So exciting for all of you! Thank you for sharing!! We are still waiting, a month now, for DODMETS to move records over to DODMERB. For the last 2 weeks, the update indicated that the providers made an error and they are working on it and there is nothing for us to do but wait ... ;)

The only thing that we have had issues in this process has been DODMETS - simply horrible website that doesn't seem to work properly irrespective of what browser you use (bottom of menu on left is under the page footer) and a lack of status to show where you are in the process. My DS had to wait nearly 3 months for an appointment for his vision examination.

After a week my of waiting for an error to be fixed by the provider my daughter called the facility and Dodmets both. It was fixed shortly after.

@TexasAggie204

FYI may want to get rid of the tracking number as I now can tell where you live, what that place looks like, who lives there, your phone # and a host of other things

sorry about that

USPS and the Internet are very generous with small scraps of info

Good advice about scrubbing the tracking number, but the statement concerning potential privacy invasion is exaggerated.

The only information available is City, State, Zip Code. Protocols at USPS require that anyone inquiring about delivery of a tracked item must provide the package description, name of the addressee, and delivery address. Absent that info, they will not release any information.

Assuming that the USPS employee follows protocol, you shouldn't have to worry about any nefarious internet stalker showing up at your doorstep.

Awesome man, stop by or gimme a call. Let's chat! I'd really enjoy meeting you.

Whadda' ya' think of the "place"? Looks pretty good, no?

BFE arrived! I ran the tracking # out of curiosity and learned that for reasons known only to USPS the BFE decided to go from Allentown to Philly then BACK to Allentown before heading home to NEPA where I found it tossed carelessly at the foot of our steps, facedown....in the snow......our mailman must be a retired Merchant Mariner.

Really - stalk much!

I've shopped at Target and Amazon extensively over the past 10 years...I figure I have NO privacy.

For a moment though, I was nervous. I thought he was going to try to sell me an extended warranty for my car, or lower the interest rate on my credit card. Now that would be terrifying...not to mention my Apple ID being locked, etc.

Or check your roof or inform you that the IRS has issued a warrant for your arrest... as a CPA I thoroughly enjoy that one...

We’re in that same place in waiting for Dobmets. Passing week 2 of error in paperwork. DS was not an EA but in regular application group. Congrats to all the EA appointees!

FutureAcademyDad - when I reviewed what I had written to your helpful response, I hope it did not come of as if I was asking you "stalk much?" - quite the contrary! Your reassurance was very much appreciated. My frustration was (unclearly) directed at the poster who found it necessary to communicate the "host" of information they found it so necessary to (attempt to) dig up.

I just hope that anybody that becomes so interested in me, my home, and my family is able to access the state database that may (or may not) depict how many LEGAL firearms that may (or may not) be in my possession.
