BFE?

I have a question regarding the “Big Fat Envelope”. My DD received her offer of appointment on April 25 and, nearly four weeks later, has not received the proverbial BFE. Does anyone know if it normally takes this long? I realize in the grand scheme of things this is small potatoes. She is very happy to have gotten good news when she did. Just curious.
 
As you will see from the various other BFE related posts this is always a hot and miss. Some receive them immediately and as an example, my youngest DS got his about a week after he completed BCT :rolleyes:

My 3 have gotten it anywhere from 1-4 weeks after appointment, but I've heard of candidates waiting much longer.
 
Ours took about a month as well, appointment on April 18th and I believe it came on May 12th.
 
Wow. appointment april 11th and still waiting. Wanted to take some grad photos with the BFE and grad stole at the beach in Hickam AFB with those items...:(:frown:

Yes, DD was hoping for the grad stole before her graduation ceremony last night, but it was not to be. Welcome to the Air Force, I suppose… 🤣
 
Yeah...i graduated already and walked without my USMA tassel cover or more importantly my grad stole🤣😢
 
Talk about "Just In Time" delivery! After getting off the waitlist on 5/12, the legendary BFE arrived today—literally the day before the graduation! USAFA really nailed the landing with peak military efficiency and maximum dramatic flair. Walking across the stage tomorrow is going to feel like the ultimate victory lap for my DD!! Well done, USAFA, and I couldn't be a prouder parent!

Congrats! That’s great to hear. My DD finally received her BFE exactly one month after her appointment came. It was a few days too late for graduation, but that’s okay.
