BGO Interview

Hi all,

I reached out to my (former) BGO in June to introduce myself via email. I heard back from him and we went out separate ways until a few week ago when I wrote me to set up my BGO Interview.

Then, the next day I was assigned a new BGO (as I was in the process of scheduling my interview with my former BGO... yeah, lucky me).

My new BGO sent me a basic email and I responded a couple of weeks ago. Then, last Wednesday he reached out to schedule the interview. I emailed him info on when I was available for the interview and since have not heard back.

I’m aware that he is a volunteer who has a life outside of being a BGO, but when do you believe might be the correct time to “bug” him about the interview?

I have everything else done in my application aside from medical, which is currently under review, and of course the interview.

Thank You.

If it's been more than a week, you might send a polite email along the lines of, "I just wanted to follow up on my email of last week. I'm still available for an interview at [time/date]. Please let me know if that is convenient for you or if you'd like me to provide alternative dates/times."

Something like that in your own words.

It could be he's trying to sort out schedules for multiple interviews or simply forgot to actually tell you the timing was OK. It happens.

For some odd reason, my BGO reached out to me and asked me for a good time to set up an interview. Interview happened July 2. Yes, you read that right. The BGO interview was the first thing done on my portal.
