BGO interview

My son did 2 interviews with his BGO, but it isn't checked off in his portal. But his application says Complete - Pending Review. Does that mean his BGO didn't recommend him to go to the academy? Should my son send a follow up email or phone call?
 
No, it only means that it hasn't been checked as 'complete'.

This year I'm finding that it takes several days from the time I submit my eval to the time that it shows as 'complete'.
 
If it makes you feel any better, my BGO interview wasn't even checked off until I received my appointment and I had my BGO interview done in September.
 
I’m also going to chime in about your question about whether BGO recommends or not. Maybe I’m reading more into that statement (hard on a forum), but BGO’s don’t have the ability to ‘get you in, nor keep you out’, per se. They only thing that would affect a checked interview box, is if they didn’t submit their interview. The box doesn’t indicate anything beyond it being received or not. And BGO’s have to submit. So everyone who interviews, should eventually have a checked box for the BGO interview.

My interview took a while to be updated to the portal. Chat with admissions and find out of they received it before reaching out to BGO. IMO

The BGO conducts the interview then has write up to do. My BGO described this as “the busy season”, and these write ups can take some time to write up as they are typically well thought out. I wouldn’t worry about him not recommending him as that doesn’t really happen as mentioned above.

Yes, I understand that I was just inquiring because it wasn't checked off.
 
Also, remember that most BGO's are busy, employed people who act in this capacity out of a love for kids and their future success. They are not paid, they fit this into their lives as they can. Be patient.
