Biden as POTUS: Military rollback?

A few pretty good reads on this topic which indicate that budgets will stay relatively flat. The split/close parity in both legislative chambers means that neither party will be able to push contentious programs.
The challenge is that our all volunteer force causes about half our monies to go to personnel costs (salaries, health care, pension) so cost savings are either in operations/training or development and procurement.

The highest spending in the last 20 years was during the first Obama administration.

Then along came sequestration and a massive drawdown of troop deployments

Biden isn't Obama and his policies will not necessarily reflect the same value weighting that Obama's did. Remember, both of his sons served in the military.

The current economic situation is not exactly ideal, so some attempt at budgetary frugality is likely to come down the pike either way. But, historically, Biden has certainly not been a dove when it comes to supporting the military.
There is no way you can say Hunter Biden has served in the military. He failed a drug test on practically his first day in the Navy reserves and the rest of his time was spent with Navy separating him.

I actually find it hilarious that Hunter Biden said ‘It was the honor of my life to serve in the U.S. Navy’ when practically all of his time in the Navy reserves was him being separated for drug use.

I think Biden’s other son, Beau, was the one who served and is why Biden is proud to be a military father. Not because of Hunter.

Look at the quote from FutureAcademyDad? ‘Remember, both of his sons served in the military’
