Hi from a level of one through 10 how helpful is it to be bilingual? I speak french and english and about to start learning Irish gaelic

Depends on the branch you are aiming for, and also what specific job within that branch.

I know the army is actively looking for French speakers in Special Forces, because of the prevalence of that language in Northern Africa and that area. I mean, being bilingual can't hurt your application at all, it could only help...

I speak Spanish and English at the native level, and it definetly helped in my application to the Naval Academy (there's a funny story there haha). Any language you can pick up with help you as an officer, not all will help you as an applicant.
