So this coming week, I'm having a minor cosmetic surgery to get a birthmark removed from the back of my neck. It's fairly large, and my dermatologist said that having it increased my chances of skin cancer and further problems down the road. Being a former Navy doctor himself, he advised me to get rid of it before my physical later. He said that they would have grounds to DQ me if I had it. My question is, would they be able to DQ me for having this technically "cosmetic surgery" done? It's insurance covered, if that matters (insurance wouldn't cover it if it were purely cosmetic).
