Blood Donation through HS

Is there any restriction for a USNA Candidate making a blood donation? DS brought home a parental consent form for donating blood at his HS tomorrow.
 
Not that I know of. I have donated before and was never asked about it during my SA medical stuff (either in the medical history form or at my physical). Since donating blood doesn't negatively affect your health whatsoever, I really don't think DoDMERB cares. I think he'll be fine so long as the needle is sterile :thumb: :D
 
but don't donate bloods on days when there PT or a sport thing to do.........
 
Thank you wildblueyonder, flieger83, and SpadGuy...signed the form and it is up to him now if he wants to go through with it (his first time donating) and SpadGuy he is in swim season somhe had planned on missing today's practice.
