Body Fat Assessment now on portal

This afternoon we see a new checklist item - body fat assessment, which needs to be done by a family doctor, school nurse, or other paramedical professional. Ours needs to be completed and submitted by Sept. 13th, so we need to get moving on this. Please note.

Just found out that our DS must be borderline on weight for his height - that's why this showed up today. He is literally one pound over the limit, it would seem.

My son at his dodmerb appointment was weighed with all clothes,shoes and had his phone and wallet in his pocket .. he was 6# over .. Today we went to the doctor to sign off on the weight and measurements he is 2#s under but doesn't meet the body fat

Huh? If he is 2 lbs under the max weight for his height then he is fine. Body fat doesn't come into play unless he exceeds the weight limit. Also, weight is normally measured while in PT gear and I think with sneakers.
I can't believe he had himself weighed with all that crap in his pocket. When I visit my docs, I leave it all in the car and only carry the car key so I can get back in.

This time he weighed in pt gear.. but I wonder if the weight is still good if the measurement aren't? I guess only time will tell.. the dodmerb doctors office was crazy busy... and the girl taking the measurements couldn't figure out how many feet 67 inches was! ...smh

paramedical par·a·med·i·cal (pār'ə-měd'ĭ-kəl) adj. Of, relating to, or being a person trained to give emergency medical treatment or assist medical professionals. Relating to the medical profession in an adjunctive capacity, especially to the allied health fields.

Sounds to me like any PA, nurse practitioner, nurse, EMT or paramedic would be included. As long as they are not in the candidate's family.
