Box Numbers?

I'm a dad of a Plebe candidate from Malaysia and glad to find the web site a week ago. It was only way to find out how my son was doing. My wife, 2 other siblings of my son and I appreciate the posting of comments and photographs. It is a real comfort after he left home and the only message we got was his sms sent from Chicago when he was on his way to USMMA, Kings Point, N.Y.
We are 12 hours ahead in time. I received a clear call from my son at 8 a.m. in my cell phone after he had attempted several times in the connection. Its glad to see that several concerned parents in America willing to share.
It is definitely a more regimented training in USMMA than our academy here. However my son seems to enjoy it. I can see him occupy his time more meaningfully in the band. He told me that he wishes to join the shooting and it is the real buttets unlike here where he was given an air gun.

Welcome, SeanDad! I'm glad this forum has been of help and comfort to you and your family. It must be quite daunting to send your son halfway around the world with so little opportunity for communication. I hope you saw your son in some of the pictures that have been posted so far!

Hi....I am pretty sure your son is one of my son's room mates....based on conversation between me and his girl friend....I talked to my son several times in the last few days...he say she loves his new room mates and everthing is good. My son has a phone and I have told him to let whom ever use it as they need.....regardless of time or cost....if he is rooming with my son....he's in good hands and we will stay in touch....no worries.....he's fine....please feel free to email aprilchobert@hotmail.com and join Face Book....
I talked to my son tonight and your son is his room mate.......He says they are great and healthy....please feel free to call ***-***-**** to talk to your son when they get their phones back....talked to him tonight on computer......
