Could anyone point me to a resource that breaks down the schedule for IFS and UPT? I've researched a lot online and much of the information is very vague.
There's a lot of literature that says UPT will be "challenging but rewarding" and whatnot. To me that's like saying that the Academy will be "some of the hardest four years of your life." Yeah, that's great, but I'm not really getting any information from that, other than that I will be challenged, which I already knew anyway.
Does anyone have a schedule or in-detail breakdown of flight training?

Thanks

Have you seen raimius's blog? It's pretty solid.

What kind of schedule are you looking for? A daily schedule or more of a syllabus progression schedule?

Are you asking for something like raimius's blog?

The skipping record here, but here goes:

You are at step 69, and UPT is step 6969. (I believe at best you are a rising C3C, and at least 3-4 years before you hit IFS...casual status for a year maybe in your future). Your goal should not be about anything regarding UPT and IFS schedule, even if you are a rising C1C. It should be all about commissioning.

I kind of laugh now at posts like this after being there with fencer for 15 months, and 6 more months to go (C130 schoolhouse). Why wrap yourself up around in this issue? Instead wrap yourself around getting through IFS and UPT...again read raimius's blog. Chair flying will be more helpful than you can imagine.

Things can change.
~ IFS was not waiverable in 12, but was in 13.
~ AFA this year announced that the rated selection process will change. More akin to AFROTC and OCS.

Read Raimius blog.
