Bringing a desktop

So my 27" custom iMac is out of the question? Would they make an exception if the desktop is used as a hobby? (I'm an apple developer).

On another note, is there cell phone service on post? Specifically AT&T? I'm guessing one could use a tethered wireless network for things that aren't allowed through the government's network?
 
Yes there is cell reception on post. AT&T gets the best service in the barracks because they put wireless tethers inside of all the barracks to help. Don't plan on getting reception in any academic building though.
