broken arm question

I broke my arm when I was about five years old. Very minor fracture. Fully healed many years ago, never gave me any problems. I am not sure if I need to disclose this. We have since moved and my parents don't recall the doctor that treated me so I probably will not be able to obtain any records. I appreciate any insight.

You don't *decide* whether or not to disclose it.
When you complete the medical history form you will be asked if you have ever or now have any joint or bone problems, injuries, surgery or medical treatment.
In your case the answer is 'yes'.
Then on the form you will explain the circumstances in the "remarks" section.

My son suffered an elbow fracture when he was 4, requiring surgery to pin everything back together. When it came time for his physical, he fully disclosed the incident and surgery (of course the scar is a bit hard to hide,) and explained that in the years that followed he had no lingering problems, and had competed at a competetive or recreational level at myriad sports, etc. We even went through the hassle of obtaining copies of the medical/surgical records, believing that DoDMERB would surely ask for them, but they never did. Apparently the detailed explanation was sufficient. So I agree with the other advice - disclose it, explain it, and then don't worry about it unless they ask for more.

I have to agree with the above two posters. I have a DD and DS at USAFA and during the process we had to disclose a broken arm for DD and broken collar bone for DS. They both healed completely. No questions or remedials were ever processed from Dodmerb regarding these injuries.
