Buy cases for crew chiefs?

Yes it happens. Bullet purchased a case one time in his 20 years.

If you screw up, and cause extra work for your maintainers, yes, that would be appropriate.

Actually, not that I like to correct Pima (usually, the correct responses are "Yes, Dear", "No, Dear", and "My fault, Dear"), I've purchased beer for the crew chiefs several times. Standard Rule in a fighter squadron -- you cause them extra work because of your stupidity, you buy them a round. Lost an object in the cockpit (Foreign Object Damage (FOD) potential; bad juju); led to having had the ejection seat removed. LOTS of work for that. My punishment? Case of beer, AND being out there with them while they pulled the seat and retrieved the piece of the pen I left behind.

But that's not the only time I've purchased beer for my crew chiefs. They work hard, in the rain or cod or heat, keeping those birds flying. The job is critical, and underappreciated. And nothing says "Thank you, I appreciate you" better for them than just showing up on the line with a case of beer and calling them over to share a cold one and to say, "Thanks for a job well done. You earned this".

Hm. I'll have to speak to Pima & get some tips. Obviously I haven't trained my husband correctly. Ha!

Ok, so he usually let's me get my way ... usually. o_O

The key word in Bullet's sentence is usually! I will say I am also smart enough to not push his limits, thus, it becomes those statements.

OBTW, Bullet the reason I recall only 1x is because it was that story and I picked up the beer for you to take into work. I recall it very clearly....it was a case of Heineken. The other times you did it on your own.

If I recall you probably bought more Jeremiah Weed because of you made Betty Beaaaccch at you!
~ In the fighter world if you hear the words over G from Betty than you are buying Weed for the squadron. One of our friends had to buy 3 bottles in 1 flight. He walked in the next day and put down 6 bottles, saying he now has 3 credits for his next flight!
