TWE day in NY...just wanted to thank all of you for helping me along the way. Guess it just wasn't meant to be this year

We are still waiting as well. DS was told he was wait listed and is locking down his plan B school by middle of this month.

I initially accepted the NROTC scholarship, because the first college I got accepted to was The Citadel (that was plan C).
Since I learned about the USMMA appointment (plan B), I declined The Citadel and the NROTC.
If I will get BFE fron USNA (plan A), I will be accepting it and declining USMMA...

How was your DS notified about the wait list?
 
Humbly, DS is still here. Our mail has been lost/dropped before; I'm sort of concerned. We are paying for orientation at Ole Miss Honors College today. I hope everyone is at peace. We are struggling here, as this is not a thrilled plan B. I'm sad for all the TWEs; I'm sure we are next since no appointment notification.!
 
@HSClassof15 I'm so sorry to hear about your TWE. I'm in New York also and received mine a week ago. I didn't apply to Bing but it's a great school and I'm sure you'll do awesome no matter what!! What district are you in? I'm in District 3.
 
Found out today that at least 4 kids from my district got in directly from HS. Jeeze, the odds are not looking good!

Hi all....son was told by Blue and Gold Officer that he was not being offered an appointment, and letters went out 3/25. STILL no letter, and is it possible a rejection is a waitlist offer also? This is one bizzare process. Blue and Gold, and Congressman seem to have no info and are pretty unimportant in this process.

This is the reason admissions tell BGO not to give out information, such as their status, to their candidates--it may change.

That being said, I hope your DS' BGO was wrong and he receives a BFE.

D22, Thank you for response and a Happy Easter to you as well!!! Other kids on Long Island not the LWE and we have not, this is why were sadly a litttle optimistic. Painful................
 
Good morning........another day no LWE...............other kids here got them we are aware of..............bizzare. Maybe the BGO are really not that in the loop in this entire process............odd situation. I know our mail works here, LOL. At this point we'd be happy with something, even wait list or NAPS offer.................who the hell can understand this process. LOL Painful process.
 
DS received the dreaded TWE Saturday. He is very disappointed he didn't get his favorite, USNA. He is very fortunate with his appointment to USAFA and he is beginning to get excited about all the wonderful opportunities that lay ahead. We as a family will need to add a lot of silver and blue to our wardrobe, except when AF plays USNA!! Thank you and best wishes to everyone!
