C/O 2019 Mailbox Stalkers

No more stalking. Coach delivered the bad news. Forever proud of my boy. He'll reapply, but I don't rule out that he'll love Plan B!
:(

All the best to your DS, and his reapplication to the c/o2020.

The mailbox stalking ends today with receipt of my very own TWE #3. Thank you everyone and I hope everyone the best at USNA this year. I'm still waiting to hear from USMMA, I'll be a Naval Officer yet. There's an African proverb that says "Smooth seas do not make the skilled sailor", if I've learned anything from being denied thrice over by USNA, it's perseverance and dedication to my dreams and goals. Everyone still in the game, I hope you all get your BFE's and succeed.

:(

Hopeful, Keep us posted on USMMA. All the best.

DS's school had a visit from USNA Admissions today. DS was informed that admissions is still figuring out the congressional slates that were submitted late (like ours) and that the top 150 were not pulled from the NWL yet.
Where are you from that congressional slates were submitted late? [Sorry if it was posted somewhere else.] DS spoke to Massachusetts/District 02 Congressman's Office on Friday and they said no news yet…not sure if that was just their polite way of not giving him bad news over the phone…but your news about the NWL is a much needed teeny, tiny glimmer of hope! :) Thank you.

What do you mean the top 150? I'm not sure what you are talking about. My district did not have noms show up on the portal until Feb. 5. Could this be what you mean? That these slates might still be working out?

We are from CA-48. Wanted to spread the hopeful news to help others cope during this excruciating process. Best of luck everyone!!

My understanding is that after all the slates are determined, it is mandated that the service academies appoint the top 150 candidates (WCS). DS's nomination showed up on the portal on Jan. 30th. Feb. 5th is pretty late...
I would consider this good news for you.

DS' interview was 13 Dec. He received his nomination letter on 17 Jan, and it showed up on his portal around the second week in February. If I recall correctly. it can take admissions a while to enter the nom on the candidates portal.

*DS lives to play another day.

Although I have an uncle and two cousins that live outside of Wilmington, I am from New Jersey. For report days, I know STP is the first week of July and Matriculation is in mid-August. I also noticed you wrote that you will be part of their NROTC program; I will be a NROTC college programmer.
Have you got anything about the STP yet? Like anything in the mail or etc.? I saw it on VMI's website but I don't how else I should prepare for it. That's great! I hope we will have classes together.

I am also in NC-04! I know of one other person at my school who is also applying to USNA and has a nomination from David Price. Neither of us have heard anything. My back ups are currently USCGA, NC State College of Engineering and UNC.
That's spectacular! I too know of one person from my school that is applying to the USNA and also has a nomination from David Price. What high school do you go to? Great back-ups.

BFE arrived today! We are so excited :bounce::bounce:it's been a long wait since our DS received his LOA on January 17th. Our DS is a Marine so we had to call him to let him know that he had mail. Can't wait until he comes home on Friday to celebrate! Hoping this thread is filled with good news this week for all those who are waiting.

I'll PM you later so VMI doesn't accidentally take over Navy's thread

I go to East Chapel Hill High, where do you go?

Day 45...I have immunity for another day in TN. My BGO could not confirm or deny my status.

Day 46...I am still in the game. Finally called my MOC, and they informed me that they do receive notice from the Academy prior to the mailings. My Congressman uses a competitive selection, so he gives the Academy his slate and they pick the best qualified candidate; no Principal Norm. This is one reason that it is taking so long.
