Good morning - DS is a Yuk at West Point and is participating in CPRC - essentially outreach to kids interested in service academies and West Point in particular. If any of you are in California District 2 or know of an interested student in that district who might like to learn more during the Thanksgiving week please DM me

CA-02 does not typically have a large number of kids looking at SAs and the high schools tend not to focus here.

Thanks

Hi ALF, what does CPRC stand for? It isn't on the acronym list posted above.
CPRC is the Cadet Public Relations Council. West Point Admissions leverages upper class cadets during select long holidays to support outreach in its process. The cadets get an extra few days of leave, but they are required to visit local schools, meet with prospective candidates and meet with other interested groups (such as Boy Scouts) to talk about the experience and answer questions. My son is also doing CPRC during Thanksgiving in VA. He is meeting with several local JROTC units during the first couple days of his break and he is also meeting individually with a few local cadet candidates.

Thank you very much.
