Call from Admissions Counselor

DS was caught off guard this evening when he received a call from his Admissions Counselor with an Offer of Appointment. He certainly didn't expect to hear anything prior to the November deadline.

Wow! That sounds like a massive "jump for joy" moment! Congratulations to you and your DS!

The call was from the Air Force Academy Admissions with an Appointment, he has a Presidential Nomination. As for the question, which Academy? Now he has to decide, choices aren't always a good thing.
 
Congratulations to your DS. At least he has plenty of time to decide. :thumb: Or perhaps to fret over it. :frown: Good luck to him. I'm sure he'll land at the correct place.

Was your DS a recruited athlete, and if not, I bet a whole lot of people would be interested in his test scores, GPA, and demonstrated leadership?
 
Not a recruited athlete

DS is not a recruited athlete and his scores are comparable to those I've seen posted on this site. I'm not sure what is jumping out at them about him; I wish I knew so I could share. I think I need to figure out how to change my username for this site because he has decided on West Point. I'll always be a Navy Fan so I guess it's ok to keep it the way it is.
