Call from Congressman

Hello!

I just received this email (photo below). I received my first nomination from this congressman in October and now he wants to call me on the 15th regarding the academy.

I’ve heard that a lot of the times your congressman hears about your appointment before you do and they call you to inform you sometimes. I did just complete my LOA on the 28th of November!

Is this a possibility?

I would think that might be good news.
 
They usually don’t call to console you. I say loosen up and prepare for happy dance, but stay cool.
 
I would say you will know for sure on December 15. Not point in speculating for two or three days.
 
Hopefully it's good news! Since the email says from the Congressman himself, possibly. I was on the phone with one of the panelists for my Congressman and they mentioned that the Congressman would be the one to call if I get an appointment since they will know before I do.
Hopefully it will be the same for you.

The call never came. A bit confused. I contacted the assistant I had contacted countless times before, but she just went on break.

I checked my voicemails and did not miss a single call today. I contacted his D.C. office (no answer) and his Indiana office did not really have any information on the subject.

Don't really know what happened. :(
 
Oh I am so sorry. Here is hoping that more clarity comes tomorrow. Did you send an email asking if everything is ok? Best wishes.
 
Yes, I did send an email, but the likelihood of it getting responded to is probably slim. I also sent one to another assistant that was CC'd on the email.

I'm sure clarification will come, but it's just rather odd. Especially when he had his assistant take the time to send the email before she left for break.

I was going to suggest you check your portal on Friday morning. The BFE should be arriving soon, too...
CONGRATULATIONS! Keep working out, but also enjoy these days with your friends and family--they will miss you when you are on your big West Point adventure next year. GO ARMY! BEAT NAVY!
 
My official correspondence hasn't been updated with the letter from the Sup yet. BUT IM EXCITED. When does the informational packet usually release for candidates that receive admission?

I already completed the tattoo form and stuff.
