Campus tour

UPDATE: Mind officially blown! We toured on 11/7 (anybody else tour that day? If so, "HI!")

The weather was extra miserable- freezing rain, totally socked in- if I didn't know the place was surrounded by the beautiful Rocky Mountains, I would have guessed the campus was on the flat plains, lol!

The first part of the tour two young representatives gave us the rundown (many of the same videos on the website) and personal experiences. As a mom I felt much more at ease with my DS' decision to apply. Spectacular presentation.

The second part of the tour a young man from NJ gave us the tour of the campus and an insight into daily life. We got to see so much of the campus and how all of it all works.

I am absolutely thrilled that we had the time to get to visit the campus- if you are on the fence about a campus tour, hop off that fence pronto! Get you a flight to The Springs and go see it all!

I know it's been a year since this post, but I found it through the search engine. DS and I are heading for our first tour of the campus in two weeks. He is a junior right now and extremely excited for the trip. We are staying at the FamCamp and have access to a Jeep and bikes. Water a plenty and layers of clothing are good advice. Any additional suggestions would be more than welcomed. Thanks, in advance, for your advice.
Nah, I think you have it pretty well covered. They do a really good job of making sure you get the whole view. Maybe budget a little money for the gift shop: it's kind of fun to get your potential cadet a t-shirt or something.

He did not make it in this year. He is spending a year at MMI and hoping for an appointment for class of 2023

Ok, well he is on the right road, good for him! It must have been my son who gave the tour, he is the only one from NJ that does this.

Me and my parents are attending one of the campus tours in November too! We’re heading to Colorado all the way from Baltimore... I’m beyond excited to see the academy!
Glad you're excited! It's an awesome place! Work on your grammar before your interviews. "My parents and I are attending...."

We will check back when we return. Hopefully, we get the tour from someone that has a connection to this forum. It has been a wealth of information. Thank you all again for keeping those of us on our first ride sane.
