hi every one
i came here 4 years ago from iraqi kurdistan Duhok city a beautiful safe city I will become a US citizen next year, my father served the U.S Army for 8 years and two of my uncles as well. i really want to serve this country and wanted to join the navy but i live in colorado i heard about the academy and went near an air force base twice and saw the f-14s and now i am really interested in flying. i talked to recruiter and he told me AFROTC is the best way to go.
i got my GED last year and I will start school this semester i took the ACT last Saturday and waiting for my scores i will be majoring in either Computer Science or Mechanical Engineering, and i really want to join AFROTC an serve as a pilot i am willing to work hard for it but i will be 24 years in september and might be 28 or 29 when i graduate not sure if that would be a problem.
-I can speak and write Arabic, Kurdish, english.
-never done drugs before at all.
-always been an excellent student.
-never been involved with anything illegal.
-don't have any tattoos.
-never had any type of surgeries before and in a very good physical condition
in kurdistan there are four different religions Islam,Christianity,Yazidi, Zaradashti.
i am muslim but super inactive.
i know that USA and kurdistan region have a really strong relationship but am not sure if a Kurdish muslim can become a fighter pilot in the US air force because of what happened in 2002 which is totally understandable.
i was told that i can't be dual citizen and to me is no problem to get rid of my other citizenship because i am Kurd not Iraqi.
so my First question is am i actually eligible/qualified for the program?
Second question if i was accepted do i have chance to get that job?
thanks in advance for your time and answers.

I believe you must be less than 23 years old by July 1st in the year you would be attending any of the U.S. service academies.

Kep in mind the Navy has airplanes. You might want to apply to both. As long as you're a citizen and meet the other requirements you are good to go.
