Can anyone tell me whether CORTRAMID is usually scheduled the same time each year?

I have to choose my vacation dates for next year, and was looking at last years' dates. Any of you experienced folks have knowledge? thanks in advance!

My DD was able to request which phase she wanted, however, it is not guaranteed. As an advanced-planning parent, it is very difficult to try to plan around the NROTC summer cruises. It got worse for her last 2 cruises. They can vary in time (1 week to 5 weeks in length) and they often don't get their orders until a week before they ship out.

The dates for Contramid have been consistent for at least the past 3-4 years. I researched the dates last year to coordinate my DD wedding and DS summer cruse possible commitment. We picked dates between West and East and got lucky. It is possible to request east or west, and it may be granted with a compelling reason, but as always, the needs of the Navy will come first and the dates are always subject to change. The dates will not be published until January / February and your DD/DS specific orders could be issued only a week or a few days before they need to depart.

Thanks for the input. Do you know when DD would make such a request after the dates are published? Obviously it is needs of the Navy, but trying to coordinate with life events for other family members as well. So I'll be keeping my fingers crossed.

The best advice, as always, is to have DD work through her chain of command. Ask the second years how contrimid assignments were done last year and she can also talk with her year group advisor.
