hi, im in 9th grade and 14 years old, i have been interested in the military for at least 3 years, fro the past 3 years i haven't done much to actually get into the academy, i have just recently switched from the navy to air force, i am going to take track this spring, probably joining CAP this summer and i am going to test out of geometry 1a while still in algebra. is there anything i should do to prepare myself further other than my grades, any classes, sports, programs?? also i have trichatilamania, its an anxiety disorder, i have taken meds since 2nd grade and therapy since 2nd-3rd grade, i know this will probably disqualify me, i am trying to get off my meds and i am working with my psychiatrist about that, my anxiety is getting alot better and i am able to control a ton more. so bassically do i still have a chance and what do i have to do? my meds are celexa and buspar, they are some of the weakest meds you can take.

From a candidate's point of view:
Definitely join CAP if you can. (I am a CAP cadet and you learn a lot). Also, make sure you try to take AP and Honors classes. About your medical question- you should post that in the DODMERB thread and ask Mr. Larry Mullen. There is a waiver for practically everything. Start taking the SAT in your Junior year. It is also a good idea to participate in team sports:)
You are smart thinking about SAs early:thumb: GL, this is a great forum and should answer all of your questions.

thanks f22f35 i posted my question on that thread thanks for your suggestions!!
