Can i get into vmi or the citadel?

    hey, Im a junior n high school right now and i really want to go to vmi or the citadel.

    GPA- 3.0 :frown:
    sports- varsity volleyball, and varsity golf. Played freshmen soccer.
    extra-activities- working around my neighborhood, key club (volunteering organization).
    - I'm taking ap classes, and im going to take pre-calculus in my senior year.
    - I didn't take the sat or act test, but on my practice sat test i got an 1200 roughly.

    I working very hard to get up my gpa, obviously, also my sat. I still want to wait and see what i get on me act test as well.
    I do i had a chance of being accepted?

    Just by talking to Rats at VMI about what grades and things got them in, I would say you definitely have a chance to be accepted. Citadel I'm not sure.

    Ah junior year, very stressful I bet. Well here are some stats
    Citadel- 3.03 Gpa- 1627.5(avg.) SAT, 78.28% admitted- 621 enrolled
    VMI- 3.4 GPA- 1710(avg) SAT, 52.59% admitted, 446 enrolled

    Consider Norwich also!
    2.9 GPA 1550 SAT- 65.83% admitted- 595 enrolled

    yea the jounior year is so hard. Very stress full. I just finished my first quarter with 3.4. 3 A's, 1 B, and (2 C's :thumbdown:) still trying though!

    Why do you want to go to The Citadel or VMI and what do you expect to find there?

    Do you know anyone personally at either school?

    no i don't. i just started hearing about this school about 2 years ago. My uncle was in rotc. but not at vmi.

    you should be qualified for the Citadel. I have already received an acceptance letter from the Citadel.
