Can People List their qualifications that got them into the Acadamey?

"I can tell you, the MCAT was the worst test of my life. Brutal! "

"LoL is that taken after you get accepted into the academy? Because the CFA seems really easy I just took mine and about maxed out on all test sessions. "

lol.... i think you are a little confused there.

When I mean really easy I mean after years of preparing lol, I busted my butt and still am, So I take back really easy because it is not and I am sorry for stating it like that, It was one of the most demanding test I have taken in my life but after prep it was easy.

He wasn't talking about that haha. MCAT is the test you take to get into med school, not a physical test like the CFA.

"So lets plan on the late dinner for the 2nd session being at Copper Mountain at 7:30. "-ryan13

kinda like this? hahaha couldn't resist

hahaha funny mathew.

Hornet, the MCAT is supposed to be hard. That's what separates the men from the boys. keep it up!

Sorry, I didn't know lol, I am still young. I should of known to look it up, but oh well lol.

I agree. The dinner was a lot of fun. Best group of kids, plus one seasoned cadet, that i've ever eaten with

Matthew, don't feel bad. Just some joshing. The folks above have given you solid advice and excellent suggestions. Keep working on them, don't lose your enthusiasm, and with your practice (CFA) and hard work (academics, sports, ec's) you'll be fine. Good luck!

And before the question comes up; the LSAT is similar. It's the Law School Admission Test. It's what get's you into law school. later... mike....

Thanks raptor, Also guess what? I am a sophomore who has already gotten into contact with my ALO, I have gotten into contact with my congressman, and I have gotten into contact with the Academy, basically I need to keep up the work on the CFA practice, and get my SATs up I have about 1 and a half years to get them to where they need to be. But most of the work is done, only thing now is the Hard work, Filling out the applications, writing letters, getting nomination, as well as taking the CFA, and other stuff then who knows I might be on my way to accomplishing my dream and goal in life. Could you please tell me do I apply for the Summer seminar as a Junior going into Senior year? Some girl at my school is a sophomore and said that she was going but I don't believe her because I asked the following questions. How did you know you got accepted? Answer: I got an email. What session are you going to? Answer: One in late June. Are you going to be able to handle the CFA? I don't know. Well you should get started. What does CFA stand for? Answer: You tell me. What is BCT and how long is it for? Answer: same as above. I don't know I think she is making stuff up, one would think that if you were going to the academy you would know all that information ahead of time, she did not even know what an ALO was, or how to get a nomination just that she got accepted into the summer seminar. What do you think?

You apply for Summer Seminar as a high school junior, the application becomes available around December 1.

It is held in the summer (duh) between your junior and senior year of high school.

Sophomores are not eligible.

Blue what does you would make an excellent preppie mean? I do not understand lol. Sorry :(. And thanks that is what I thought thanks for reinstating what I thought, because it is my dream and I am just trying to make sure that my shot in my district is real good:D. There is about 642,980 in my district and 62% is over 18, 22% is over 40, so there is about 16% that is kids in high school and about 10% of that will not even think about applying for the academies. She wasn't qualified either but I did ask her if she wanted help that I would not mind giving her certain advice if that is what she wants to do.

I mean that, from what I have seen, the majority of people accepted to the USAFA Prep School were declined direct admission into the academy because of low standardized test scores. This is also usually accompanied by being an IC, a prior enlisted, or outstanding in some category that makes the Academy really want you here.

Oh, and for some reason naivety is a plus.

Oh ok, Hopefully I won't have to go to the prep school but it is another way. My SATs which I haven't taken yet will be up around a 1350 to a 1400, according to Hunnington, I also have a 4.2 gpa with a lot of other good qualifications but thanks for bringing that up.

Hey now Blue, i am offended :)

But you are right for the most part, I think i'm one of the rare ones doing decent here at the moment haha

Yay I am so happy, I just joined CAP. This makes me pretty happy to get an early experience of how the military and the air force is, I am ready to have fun but at the same time be committed to what I do:D. Also 10% of cadets at the Academy got accepted because of cap and being fully qualified of course. But I am taking the first step.
