Approximately how long does it take to receive the candidate packet in the mail after submitting the preliminary application?

not too long. if its been more than a 2 or 3 weeks, give admissions a call. you can find their number online.

I'm a bit confused. My son did the whole process last year and I don't ever remember getting anything in the mail (before the LOA and appointment). My next son has been working on his application online and has much of it done. What are you waiting for in the mail or what exactly did you receive? Thought it pretty much was all online except for the school mailing in the transcript.

The candidate number to log in to CIS. Those who applied to NASS don't need to do the prelim.

Took me three weeks to get mine.

Did your son get accepted to the Summer Seminar? Anybody accepted to NASS automatically gets a candidate number which is necessary for filling out the academy's online application.

Yes, they both went to NASS. I was just trying to make sure we weren't missing something in the "candidate packet" they were talking about. :thumb:
