I'll be heading down to Annapolis in two days to attend the candidate weekend and I had a few questions.

- What should I wear? Should I wear khakis and a polo the entire time or will jeans and a t-shirt be okay.
- Should I bring a sleeping bag instead of sheets and linens?
- How many other candidates will there be and will I be interacting with them at all?

DS went a few weeks ago.
Here's his suggestions:
I would go with a polo and khakis but bring a change of clothes for the following days. Also, bring PT clothes. You'll most likely have the opportunity to workout, if not play speedball if you're lucky.

A sleeping bag worked best for me. I slept on a cot while i was there.

As far as interacting with other drags, you'll see them around and have the occasional two minutes or so to exchange where you're from or what you want to do. You might leave with some contacts by the time you get picked up.

Also take any homework with you. Your plebes are going to do their best to include you, but they spend lot of time studying at night for their Professional Knowledge tests and during that time it can get boring. Unless of course you know someone that's an upperclassman, then you might be able to hang out with them for a little while your plebe studies- that's what I did.

I second this. I had plenty of drags last year, and most nights Plebe year you spend doing homework, which can get boring for drags. There's no wifi, so don't plan on using a computer or anything. Bring a sleeping bag and pillow, and food for the plebes if you want (it's much appreciated). Bring khakis and a polo or jeans a polo for class, and then PT gear for other times of the day. Don't be the kid that's too fancy, but also don't be the kid that looks like a slob.

Hope your visit went well! My plebe had a drag this last weekend... maybe it was you!
