Cannot attend USNA SS

Because of Boy's State, I cannot attend the Naval Academy's Summer Seminar. At this point, what can I do? It is my understanding that I cannot get a refund for the payment because its too late now?

if you haven't, you should call USNA and let them know you're not going. other than that, continue working and have fun at Boys' :thumb:
 
I don't know the refund policy but it won't hurt to ask. The worst thing they can do is tell you it's too late.

Did you try to change sessions? Boy's State can't be during all of them.

Yes, i did try to change the session but i realized that if i did switch, i would either skip another week of school (because i am attending USMA SLS as well) or it will cut into my finals week.

Well, I think that one Summer Seminar/Session, whichever, will be good to help you decide and get a feel for the military. You get to do one, and then Boy's State. Have fun.
 
I'm suprised you would rather go to Boy's State than SS. SS will provide you with an experience that will allow you to make an educated decision on attending an academy. If you already are 100% sure, then Boys State may be you best choice. SS shouldn't help or hurt your chances for an appointment. Just chalk the SS fee up to the cost of being very successful in high school. Good luck.
