My free version of Adobe Acrobat DC wont allow me to save any changes to the SF-86 form ( weird considering I've been able to save every other file) and I'm having difficulties finding a decent alternative. Any recommendations for an alternative or should I just shell out the $25 for a month of Adobe Pro DC?

Print it and fill it out?
That’s probably the best way to go about it but it just seemed easier to fill it out digitally, and I’ve seen that it’s nice to have a copy of it saved on a thumb drive for future reference.

Trick. Hit print… when u see the printer name click on it and put it on print to pdf file or something similar , it changes from system and printer app , but that will allow u to save it as a pdf. U can this w just about anything

It may also show as save as pdf as does in mine U can do this even for a news article on ur browser that u want to keep to read later

Can you just fill out one page and then print it and then continue to the next page that needs to be completed? Not every page needs to be filled out.
I would think so. U can select the pages to print at the end. Write on a paper the number of the page. At the end when u are about to print select custom print and type the number of each lage w a “-“ separating the numbers. Oy those pages will print
