Carson W. Travel Package to R-Day

DD is taking the Carson W. package (flight, hotel, travel to West Point) to travel alone and report to R-Day for the class of 2015. Are the candidates who take the Carson W. package also taken to Eisenhower Hall and line up with all the other entering candidates? If we (parents) do make it to R-Day, should we also start out at Eisenhower Hall (for example to pick up the tickets for parents to view the Oath Ceremony in case of inclement weather, etc.)? Thanks.

FYI, I called Carson last week and the rep. said they would be getting the details (where candidates should go once landing at Newark) out to those who signed up for the package as soon as they are finished processing current cadet/grad travel arrangements.

Can someone explain, in great detail, what goes along with this package? Do I need to schedule the flight, what time is USMA taking the new cadets to the hotel, etc.

ARRIVAL IN NEW YORK CITY THE NIGHT
PRIOR TO R-DAY
The West Point Carlson Wagonlit
Travel Offi ce offers a hotel package for
one night’s accommodation at Newark
Airport. This package includes transfer
to the airport hotel, a roommate of the
same gender, breakfast the following
morning, and bus transportation from
Newark Airport to West Point. The bus
will depart from the hotel at 0600, and
this is considered reporting for duty,
regardless of what your actual reporting
time is.
The hotel package must be booked
and paid in advance with a personal
check or money order. Details on the
package for the Class of 2015 can be
found in the West Point Carlson Wagonlit
Travel Offi ce section that you can access
via your candidate portal.

The cost is $158.
