Hey y'all, I'm quite worried about my medical examination. I have completed over half of my navy application( 8/11 of the application, including my nomination). I still have not received any information from DoDMERB and I have even notified my BGO to ask if there is anything I could do. I know that the system is lacking resources because of the COVID-19 pandemic but should I be concerned of not being examined in time for the deadline?

DS is in a similar situation. He had everything completed (incl noms) except BGO interview and DoDMERB. DS contacted USNA admissions and was instructed that this year (at least at the time) they weren't proceeding with DoDMERB until everything was complete (versus being 50% app complete), including BGO interview. DS hasn't had the BGO experience he expected (although realizes CV19 etc can affect that reality)- after a few months of DS trying to get a response from the BGO he escalated to the area coordinator and then got a response from the BGO, scheduled the interview, and now that has been completed but 10 days out has not been submitted. DS has reached out to USNA admissions again hoping to move things along (I get it- its a hurry up and wait situation). DS would like to get medical out of the way and from there he can focus more on plan B, C, D.

Until downloaded from an Academy/ROTC directing medical certification from DoDMERB, we can't do anything. :wiggle:
