I'm reapplying for both Westpoint and Navy and I just took my CFA this weekend. An Officer (Colonel) administered my exam, and I've significantly improved from my last attempt last app cycleI know for Westpoint I can have an officer administer my exam, but according to their website, it has to be a BGO or PE teacher:

"The CFA MUST be administered by a high school/prep school physical education teacher, team coach, commissioned officer (for military candidates), or the candidate's Blue and Gold Officer."

If I submit these scores to Westpoint, and request Westpoint to have them sent to the Naval Academy, will there be an issue?

According to Westpoint's charts, I still am below average in a couple of events (namely BB and Run by about 14 sec), however I do plan to retake at least once more before January.

Current Scores:
BB: 33.5
FAH: 18.5
Pushups: 40
Sit Ups: Max
Shuttle: 10.3
Mile: 8:20 (It was SWELTERING in the gym I took it, my practice one last week I got an 8:05 on, and I usually run about 7:30-40 regularly)

its not about being average, you are competing for the best possible score and not to be harsh but those scores are extremely average.

I would not submit until you are AT LEAST average in each category. You want to be seen as an above average to excellent candidate.

I do plan on retaking, however I was under the impression the CFA could be retaken multiple times for the Naval Academy? If not I won't submit these. Also, I was going by Westpoints averages, does the Naval Academy post averages anywhere? It would be nice to know where I stand.

I'm aiming for maxes, however I don't see myself getting a 6 minute run or 60 foot basketball throw, although I can definitely make improvement in those areas..

Thanks for the input.

USNA does not post averages or minimums.

You can retake the CFA as many times as you want prior to Jan. 31. USNA does NOT superscore the CFA; rather, the new scores replace the old ones, for better or worse.
