Just curious why the CFA administered during USAFA Summer Seminar is unofficial and will not be considered for candidates application.
 
Altitude is as good a reason as any. Living in Colorado, I can assure you that a CFA at USAFA will NOT be your best effort (unless you come from similar or greater elevation).
 
Yes, that is the reason. Performance is going to be less than standard for most candidates due to the altitude.
