Okay so my CFA numbers are as follows!
Run- 7:01
Pull-ups- 14
BBall- 67
Push-ups- 55
Sit-ups- 53
So, my dilemma is should I take it again or just send it off? The problem is I am currently in the playoffs in football and as soon as football is over I will go straight to basketball. So, I'm trying to find time to take it again, but it just seems like I can never get everything to work out. So should I just send it off or take it again! Thank you!

I'd do it again. You bball is so close to the average and who knows? Maybe you can gain 2 feet out of nowhere. Also your sit-ups need some improvement. My advice is take t again in 2 weeks and every day for two weeks follow a push-up and ab workout regime. Push-ups and sit-ups are easy to improve in. Also do a couple practice bball throws. There IS a lot of technique involved in it.
But one thing I've learned over the past few weeks of this semester is if you truly want to succeed at something you MAKE time for it. Surprisingly, the human body can run off 6 hours of sleep (I would know because I've had to get home from a night class and get my miles logged because I want to be ready for track season). While it may be hard to juggle sports and CFA training, it is not impossible and when you do succeed, USAFA will see that you have good time management skills. Also, think about your priorities: do you want to have amazing CFA scores by putting the majority of your time and energy into exercising, or is bball your passion? Sacrifices have to be made if you want to be successful.

^^^ I was going to add my $0.019 but then I looked through the posts and saw that JestFutureFalcon had already written it down for me. Nice job, Jest. walk97, it sounds like you're pretty athletic already, so it shouldn't be too hard for you to improve your push-ups and sit-ups prior to submitting your scores.

Definitely retake. The CFA is primarily about core strength, which can be a challenge for football players. Ideally, you should shoot for a mile time under 6 minutes and max sit-ups at 95. DS is a football running back who puts in his roadwork in the mornings before school, start with 1 mile a day and work up from there. Good luck!

Please see page 14 of the Instructions to Candidates for the Class of 2020. There has been a change to past procedures that you should be aware of.

"If you fail the first CFA, you will automatically be rescheduled for a second CFA. Please note that failure of the first CFA will be taken into account when your file is reviewed. If you fail the second CFA your file will normally be closed."
