I just did a practice CFA. Here is how I did on each event:
Basketball throw: 60ft
Pull-ups: 18
Shuttle run: 8.7sec
Sit-ups: 89
Push-ups: 66
Mile: 6:17

With these numbers, am I ready to take the real CFA, or should I keep training? If I keep training, which events should I focus on?

Thank you.

There is always room to improve. However, your scores are all above average except for the basketball throw so I would say you are perfectly fine taking it and submitting. If you have a lot of time on your hands and are not looking to complete the CFA right now, I would tell you to work on the basketball throw (It is 90% technique and, with practice, will improve very quickly).

Maritime input here. I'd give an "up" to those scores. Test and move on. If you retake the SAT, improve as best you can. Higher college board scores will trump a passing CFA. Here is some verbiage taken from the internet regarding the SAT: "For every 50 points you want to raise your score, you will need to pick up four extra questions (more or less) on a given section. In the official SAT statistics published by ETS, the average combined improvement of test-takers is 60 to 70 points". Start preparing for upcoming SA interviews and continuing working Plan B.

Good Luck.

Thank you! I have been practicing for basketball throw almost every day, and got from 50 to 60 in the past few weeks but I feel like I’m not improving anymore. I think I will go ahead and take it soon so I can put more focus on other parts of the application.

Thanks for the advice! I’m trying to retake the ACT but it keeps getting canceled. My current scores are English: 34, Math: 30, Reading: 33, Science: 33. I’m hoping I can get my math score up if they stop getting canceled. If I can’t retake it, do you think the math score will be ok? I have a good plan B because I have a medical DQ but hopefully I can get a waiver.

You’re welcome. It would be better for you to decide if your math score is “ok”. That way the accountability is with you alone. Here’s how: Simply search “convert ACT to SAT scores”, “SAT to ACT concordance” or vice versa – voila! Now, start digging and draw your own conclusions.

Good Luck.

I agree with WT Door that you should decide wether the math is ok, but from my view point I would only retake it if you've got everything else done if that's your superscore then that's a 32-33 composite. In my opinion that's really good, I know personally it would be harder for me to improve and spend that time trying to get one point when I could be preparing for my interview or cfa.

those are very solid scores. I might assume you are not a huge guy given the # of pull-ups and the solid mile. My only advice would be to try the grenade method of throwing the basketball. When I was practicing with my DS, that worked well for me.
