CFA Question

I have a question about my CFA. So I recently did my practice run-through (2 days ago) with my coach and got a slightly below avg score. I did good on the first 3 events, but poorly on sit-ups and pushups, and the run could have been a lot better. I had worked out the day before so I was sore, and since it was only practice I didn't give it 110% of my effort. Now my school board is striking and shutting down for the next week when my original CFA was scheduled for, so I won't have access to my gym. So the only option I had was to submit my practice scores. I submitted them today, and when I checked my portal I had a green checkmark beside the CFA. Does this mean I passed it, or is there still a chance they will email me asking me for a re-take?

Green check marks are normally a good sign. This is why one shouldn't wait on the CFA. Something always comes up.

You probably passed, likely around the 51st percentile. But this could still get you cut. If you can retake it I don't think it would hurt

I already had to submit the scores due to my school board shutting down schools for the next few weeks, and these were only the results from the practice run-through. I don't think I'm allowed to retake it unless USAFA messages me to do so. Really hope these will be enough, and extracurriculars/interviews can make up for a below avg CFA. 🤞

The CFA is pass/fail. If she passed, how could it still get her cut? As nicksand18 said above, once the CFA is submitted the only way to do a second try is to have USAFA request it. It would make no sense for them to request a retake if she passed.

Yeah for sure. (F)
BB: 45ft
FAH: 35s
Sprint: 9.8
Situps: 65
Pushups: 30
Mile: 8:03
Once again, I know my pushups and situps were weak, that's why I'm surprised.
Mine averaged out to something similar and I passed (Weaker on BB and mile, better on pull/push-ups.)
I talked to an admissions officer about the value of retakes and from what I gathered, an admissions decision isn't going to come down to your scores unless you and another candidate are equal in pretty much every way.

First off, congrats on passing. I'm taking my CFA tomorrow and I was wondering how long it took for you to find out if you passed or not once you submitted your results?

Thank you! It took me about half a day to receive the checkmark, they got back really fast. Good luck with your CFA you'll do great!

Hey, did you get any updates on whether it was definitely passing or not? I received the green check mark in my portal after my CFA was submitted as well. I asked a few people, but I received different answers. One was that it meant that it passed, and the other told me that it just meant that it was submitted. Thank you!
Also, just to clarify, there's a green check mark next to "Candidate Fitness Assessment received" right? That's what my checklist says; I just wanted to confirm.

Hey, congrats on completing it! From everyone I have heard, yes, the green checkmark means that it is a passing score. In all the instances someone has failed (applying to USAFA), the school reached out almost immediately, asking the candidate to retake the test. As I mentioned, I received the checkmark the day I submitted my scores and never heard from USAFA any further about it. Best of luck with the rest of the application!
