Hi everyone. I scheduled my CFA for this Monday. I was wondering how fast I could take it again because I know for a fact that I can make improvements within a week. Is it as simple as re emailing my PE teacher the CFA request on my portal? And does anyone know how fast it takes to see if a CFA is pass or fail ?

Check with your RC. Unless there has been a change, USMA does not allow retakes of CFA, except by approval of RC. An exception is if first CFA was taken during SLS.

This is different from USNA, which, I believe, allows candidates to retake the CFA.

I know it is hard for candidates to see the big picture and if you are applying then you probably are an overachiever. I would guess that you have practiced the events and know what you score. The most important thing is to just relax and do your best. You got this. With that said, there is no way you will be able to significantly improve your CFA time in a week. The other thing is that the CFA accounts for only 10% of your WCS. Taking that a step further, each event is worth 20% of the total score. If you do the math, a small improvements in one event is only worth tenths of a percent. The only way that you would want to retake it is if you had a major issue, like you fell off the pull-up bar and could only hop your mile run. This is a marathon that you have been preparing for your entire life and you are hitting the home stretch.

It is more important to get your file in front of the board and get qualified. You are late in the game here and that is more important than changing your WCS by tenths of a number.

My DD's RC said she could take it if it was videotaped and submitted, but you should ask your RC.
