Thanks for reading my post! I recently completed the CFA portion of my kit; my scores look like this:

Push-ups: 62
Sit-ups: 106
Pull-ups: 19
One-mile run: 5:46.03
Shuttle-run: 6.95
Basketball throw: 79

I'm not exactly certain how USAFA grades the CFA, so I'm hoping to gain some feedback from this thread. Thanks much!

That's really good. When you actually take the CFA the max is 95 sit ups so thats what you'll only have to do. Look online for the maxes and averages

I agree. You don't want to do more than the max. Save your gas. Will need it at the end for the run.

The above link to USAFA's website provides a bit of insight to scoring on the CFA, at least for the max (100 points) in the last paragraph or two of the information.

What score is assigned to the goal/average score or anything in between can be anyone's guess. But, staying above the goal/average is the key to success.

Hey all. Just curious as to where my son's scores would land up. He did well in some areas, and not so well in others. I'm hoping he scored well enough to pass the CFA without needing a retake.

BB Throw - 47'
Pull-ups - 5
Shuttle Run - 7.33
Push-ups - 60
Sit-ups - 84
Mile run - 5:40

Thanks

Given that the PT card is in place during BCT (Which I still think as someone who dealt with that instead of 2018's basic that the card was stupid) the CFA seems like it is evaluated based off of pass and fail now. If you fail, you will be asked to retake it. If you fail for the second time, you will have your application closed. So if you fail one event, it is a full on fail. I think that is how it goes at this point.
