I just opened my 2022 portal and saw that they require video of my CFA. I had heard of some people getting requested to submit video last year; is this across the board for everyone now?

Yes now WP requires a video to all candidates for 2 of the events if I recall correctly.

Whoa, whoa!!! Since when did they implement this? I'm not applying nor looking for an appointment. Do the other Academies have to do this? I checked on the USMA website but nothing, I guess one has to apply to get that info. I'm just a curious person.

DS `21 had to redo, take video and upload after CFA was done.
I just did with iphone at home - situps and pushups only.

Don't know if this is across the board or not now but CFA instructions should specify if so.

I think it is to verify form on `max` or near max CFA events, lots of new cadets couldn't measure up on past R days.

USNA does not require this.

I guess it's not the matter of who, but when. It won't be long until all Academies have to do this, maybe even applying to the ROTC scholarships as well.

The new requirement for videos (pull-ups and push-ups) is posted on the portal with other requirements for documentation (transcripts, letters of recommendation from teachers, etc.). It does not appear that it must be from the CFA test, but can be completed separately and then uploaded.

Don't count on it. That takes an enormous amount of labor to watch all those.

+1 to NavyHoops. Additionally, NROTC Marine Option PFTs are already administered by Marine Sgts at least, perhaps officers on some occasions. There is no need to video these as someone is already there to verify form.

Push-ups and pull-ups must really be important to WP, because this added requirement will be very time consuming for the admissions department. The RCs are going to watch all of them and they will be graded by the Dept of PE. Because this will be so time consuming, fewer retests will be granted.

See page 2 in the CFA instructions posted on the USMA website: http://www.usma.edu/admissions/Shared Documents/CFA_Instructions.pdf
