Can anyone tell me if my CFA is passing or not? I am planning to retake anyways.

B-Ball Throw- 39 ft
Flexed arm hang- 11.4 seconds (I was about 2 inches from a pull-up)
Shuttle run- 10.2 seconds
Sit ups- 64
Pushups- 16
Mile run- 9:10

Do an online search for “USMA CFA” and you’ll find a PDF that shows averages for West Point. (Yes, I know this is the USNA forum, but I’d bet a week’s pay that the averages are virtually the same.) You’ll see that you have some work to do to reach the averages. I don’t know if your scores are passing, but in applying to USNA, I’d never settle for below average on anything I can control.

Your portal will tell you if you passed!

Are you sure? I took my CFA through my NROTC unit and my instructor was more concerned about form than numbers. It was different than most. I did the physical stuff indoors...maxed out on pull-ups sit-ups, and shuttle run, did 64 (military) push-ups, and had 74ft on the basketball throw. But then I had to use my "rest time" to change into winter gear and then go outside for my mile run...on city streets through downtown Milwaukee in (rain/sleet) sub-30 degree weather. I posted a 7:30 mile time, not close to my best. My portal stated that it was complete but I was still concerned. So I emailed my advisor and he told me that 7:30 was still well within passing range. The point is that my portal only said "Complete" and I had to contact my advisor for clarification.

Has the data within the Candidate Information System (CIS or "Portal") changed since last year?
I ask, because it always lists the things that are required with a date after them. Last year, there was nothing listed to notify you that you "passed" anything.

My son got an loa so we know his numbers passed.

I don’t think there was anyway to know from the portal ... just that they received his CFA.

I agree on comparing them to averages. A few of those numbers could be close like the 9:10, push ups and flexed arm hang. The good news. It’s not Jan 31st. Keep working on it in case you need to retake it.
