Q: Clearing up medical of those already offered appts...to finalize additional openings, or checking medicals on the waitlist individuals in order to offer because of the late date and the timing of waivers...(Does the Q make sense?) TX ;)

I hope it's sooner rather than later. How much paperwork do the new Swabs need to do?
 
I don't know for sure but I had to fill out a lot for enlisted Boot camp many years ago, so I can imagine that a DHS-Military Academy requires more.

A lot of the paperwork is available on the co2024 page on the USCGA website and are available for everyone to start filling out. There are quite a few forms and there is probably more paperwork in the appointment package.

I would interpret it as they are checking the medical info/waivers (or lack of waivers) for those that have an appointment, to determine how many from the waitlist can be offered an appointment.

Yes. They must ascertain who is medically eligible of those already given appointments, b4 they can offer appointments from the waitlist.
 
Just personal opinion, but they cannot overfill a Class. They have only so many slots open, and those they have already offered admission to need to either decline or be declined waivers BEFORE anyone can be offered an appointment from the waitlist. It will happen if there are slots, and may have already (just to people not on this forum). There is nothing to do but wait and see...:)
 
Lots of speculation and hearsay. The Academy set deadlines for appointment acceptance/denials, and for medical waivers and approvals. Those dates have come and gone. ⌛⏰🤔Other Academies offered appointments to waitlisted candidates weeks ago. Until anyone hears from CGA Admissions or an official representative, there's nothing to do but continue the difficult wait.

The FB page for the class of 2024 is now up to 237. It appears 5 new individuals have been added to the class in the past 24-48 hours.
