CGAS appointment

Students get a free 6 months Amazon Prime account and then a cheaper rate after that along with other special privileges. My older son (freshman at a regular college) got one in October and I have had an account for a few years- totally worth it!
 
No packets still, but some more questions for those who finished or are working on the forms. Were there any forms that SHOULD be signed/dated? I know they specifically told us NOT to sign majority of them but... if it wasn't mentioned on that first Memo, should we just sign them already?

Also, is everyone sending in the original birth certificate or are any of you sending in a certified copy? It was confusing because the instructions said that it could be a certified copy but the form itself had in yellow highlight saying that it had to be original. I prefer not sending the original, but I'm not sure if we have the option. @Objee, are you able to clarify for us regarding the birth certificate and the forms that should be signed before returning ( if there are any)?

If sending original, everyone don't forget to make certified copies beforehand! You might need them later to apply for prep school too, and you don't get the original back until they report in... and that may be too late.

Revised? Yikes, I don't even know if the information I have is the old information or the new one. I'll double check. Thanks for the heads up! Did you send the original birth certificate already？

I read that they will have them sign them when they report. They request an original birth certificate and social security card that will be returned to them when they report.
 
Seeing that the packets haven't gone out yet, I just hope there are no more revisions.

So, everyone's sending ALL forms unsigned, not just the ones mentioned on the memo, right?
 
Yes they updated the site with more forms. Lol. No not yet, getting her to get certified copy Monday before we federal express it.

Oh my goodness. You even finished immunization form already? You are so on top of things! We couldn't even get an appointment with our HMO until May. I'm glad that one isn't due until June at least.

To save everyone a few walks to the mailbox next week, LT Kessell said he's hoping to confirm prep school assignments (that information will be included in the acceptance packages) and distribute everything by May 1st. The CGAS website (www.uscga.edu/CGAS) has been updated, but accession forms are not due until June 1st so not sure what the source for the "May 1st" deadline was unless someone confused the appointment acceptance deadline?

Just reviewed the CGAS Handbook which (at least to me) clearly states a May 1st deadline for accession forms, so I'll check back with LT Kessell. Thanks to all who notified me of that.
